Businesses can’t afford delays, errors, or compliance risks in packaging and artwork management. Whether it’s ensuring product traceability, keeping up with regulatory demands, or avoiding costly reprints, the pressure on teams has never been greater.
That’s why we’re excited to launch Loftware Smartflow 27.3! This release brings together powerful new capabilities designed to help global brands boost efficiency, improve accuracy, and deliver connected packaging strategies that meet the demands of modern supply chains.
“Smartflow 27.3 isn’t just introducing new features; it’s designed to set up our customers for the future of packaging and artwork management. As industries move toward greater digitalization, transparency, and consumer engagement, we’re focused on giving businesses of all sizes the flexibility and intelligence they need to adapt quickly. This release is another step in helping our customers not only meet today’s challenges but also prepare for what’s coming next,” said Gemma Wood, Product Manager at Loftware.
Here’s a look at what’s new in Smartflow 27.3 and how these enhancements can empower your teams.
Smarter connected packaging with BL.INK integration
Digital engagement on packaging is no longer optional - it’s a customer expectation. With our new BL.INK integration, users can now generate and add QR codes directly within Smartflow projects. This makes it easier than ever to support connected packaging strategies, deliver traceability, and unlock valuable consumer insights. Whether you’re in food & beverage, pharmaceuticals, or consumer goods, Smartflow helps bring packaging to life with just a few clicks.
Enhanced control, clear feedback, and reduced compliance risks
Managing packaging content across multiple markets, languages, and regulatory requirements can be complex. Smartflow 27.3 streamlines this with improved visibility and smarter feedback tools. The enhanced Where-Used UI makes it easy to see and export references for phrases, translations, and datasheets, providing faster audits and clearer insight into dependencies. At the same time, reviewers can now give more precise feedback with multiple rejection reasons, help text, and ordering options, thereby helping teams identify trends and resolve issues efficiently.
To further reduce compliance risks, Smartflow 27.3 introduces a new ‘Superseded’ status for re-approved files, ensuring that only the correct versions are used in production. Together, these updates give teams greater control, accelerate approvals, and safeguard both data integrity and regulatory compliance.
Stay on top of workflows with the Notifications Centre
Customers often tell us that missed updates and communication gaps are common causes of project delays. Our new Notifications Centre solves this issue by centralizing updates across tasks, projects, file uploads, discussions, and system announcements. Teams gain instant visibility into progress and collaboration, ensuring the ball never gets dropped.
Greater control with Master Datasheet enhancements
Accurate product and artwork information is the backbone of smooth packaging workflows. Smartflow 27.3 makes it easier than ever to keep your data in check with two key updates to the Master Datasheet:
- Row Compare: Spot differences between two versions of a datasheet row in seconds. Track changes, catch errors early, and avoid costly mistakes before they happen.
- Non-Latest Version Flexibility: Sometimes the newest asset isn’t ready for use yet, but work can’t wait. Now, teams can safely use earlier approved versions without compromising data accuracy.
Together, these improvements give teams confidence that their data is reliable, up-to-date, and ready for audits, so projects can move forward without a delay.
