Nice North America is the American and Canadian-managed division of Nice S.p.A., an Italian multinational company. Nice North America is a cloud-centric company. There are very few physical servers, and the IT department tries to avoid client software as much as possible. The company implemented a Blend ERP solution with their existing NetSuite ecosystem for label printing in parts of its manufacturing environment. The company wanted to implement a modern, cloud-based labeling solution that would harmonize with its cloud-first strategy. Working together with long-time Loftware partner, Efficient Business Integrators (EBI), Nice implemented Loftware’s cloud-based labeling solution.
We were looking for an intuitive, easy-to-use labeling software that we could roll out to users who weren’t familiar with creating labels.

To increase efficiency, Nice wanted to streamline the labeling printing process. It was important that the software they used was straightforward and intuitive. Loftware Cloud's built-in label designer features an MS Office-like interface that makes it easy for business users to start designing labels right away, without prior coding experience or training. With Loftware Cloud, Nice simplified labeling by replacing their old ERP system report writer with a small number of modified Loftware templates.
Another prerequisite for enabling work centers to print their own labels was access control. Nice needed to ensure that work centers only had access to the labels they needed, to avoid any unauthorized changes to label templates. Using Loftware Cloud, Nice can now manage permission access to label templates. The IT team has created different libraries for different product areas and teams, granting access on a folder level. By using role-based permissions, Nice can make sure that labels are only edited by authorized staff, which helps to protect label data and ensure quality control.
As Nice set up and centralized their labeling in Loftware Cloud, they discovered that they could link these new label designs to their ERP system: NetSuite. They used a NetSuite plugin called Blend ERP that allows Nice employees to launch some print jobs directly from screens in NetSuite. EBI, a premier Loftware partner, worked with Nice’s in-house IT team and Blend ERP to define and integrate these label templates. Using Loftware’s cloud-based solution simplifies the setup and maintenance of the system since NetSuite, Blend ERP, and Loftware all work together in the cloud and allow local printing at any of the eight different Canadian work centers.
